A new house, perhaps a new life.

Mon Aug 17, 2009, 8:58 PM
Finally the house is fully furnished and I am able to move in. The previous owners shadows are yet left behind but my own will take over soon. Much work is yet to be done to truly call this "HOME" but with time, patience and of course money that should happen in due course.
Meanwhile I read and I study and I follow the teaching as best as I am able of the finest minds of both our time and of times past. The day to day monotony of life has taken over from the untamed and wholly free lifestyle of the past months. The gods have favoured me over that time with a shelter to sleep in, food for my stomach and money in my wallet.
I have been drawing too but not in a great sense for lack of space and lack of inclination. After all what is art but an extension of ones mind that needs to be shared with the world. The pile of artwork that should be shown but the lack of a certain scanning device prevents that from occurring. bid thee farewell and retire to the chores of the day with a saddened look upon my face and a growling in my belly.
Adieu.

What is there to tell. I live, I breathe, I love and I long to be free of the shackles of an oppressive time. Art is a release as is music and so too is writing. Peace I have found in the simple things- Friends, family, reading and art. To understand one truly one must walk a mile in his shoes. In no way is that possible for each of us is different and unique and are sole logs in an ocean as vast as it is deep.

Hi! thank you very much for the deep comments! I'm going to reply to you soon! I just need a couple for days since I'm truly busy at work! By the way, where do you live in NZ? I've done part of my PhD at HortResearch (now Plant and Food Research) in Ruakura (Hamilton).
I'm surprise you're reading Dante Alighieri! His poem is quite tough to read even in Italian... I just that traslating form ancient italian to English is a nightmare!!

I'm live in Auckland. How long did you spend in New Zealand? Actually I didn't have much trouble with Dante and I am infact reading it for a second time.. I found it very enlightening into ones own psyche and certainly very influential into ones thoughts. Not to mention his descriptions of the various rings in the Inferno really made me want to produce my own series of works based in that. Who knows one day I might get down to it.

Fallen from the heavens, I was consumed by the darkness... My heart filled with hatred for others...
Yet a light flickered inside me, showing me to freedom... 'cuz of you...I still have hope.

I'LL BE YOUR GUARDIAN FROM THE DARK.
